CDT Trail Days is back!

Mark your calendars – Trail Days 2023 is happening this spring! Overnight camping is available in Silver City.

The Continental Divide Trail Coalition will be hosting Trail Days in Silver City, NM from April 21-23. There will be a speaker series, gear expo and celebration in partnership with Gila Earth Day, community hikes, pancake breakfast, and more! You can check out the full schedule below!

Earth Day Festival Event map, Saturday, April 22 at Gough Park

FRIDAY, APRIL 21:

Speaker Series
9am-4pm | The Silco Theater
Join us on Friday, April 21st for a speaker series starting at 9am. In this series, we will hear from local Indigenous leaders, learn about the biodiversity along the CDT, and explore stories from the two-woman multi-sport athlete team of Bethany ‘Fidgit’ Hughes and Lauren ‘Neon’ Reed, known collectively as Her Odyssey.

Trail Days Kickoff Fiesta
5:30-9pm | Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery
Come celebrate the kickoff of Trail Days 2023 with us at Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery! We will have music, dancing, and fun along with beverages provided by our friends at Little Toad.

SATURDAY, APRIL 22:

9am | Pancake Breakfast
Come join us in Gough Park for a free pancake breakfast for thru-hikers and Silver City community members!

10am-2pm | CDT Trail Days x Gila Earth Day Celebration
Gough Park
CDTC and Gila Earth Day are coming together to celebrate community collaborations in conservation. You can look forward to lots of fun and educational vendors, performances, music, and more! What a perfect way to spend a Saturday.

Hikes for all skill levels

Join CDTC and Heart of the Gila for community hikes during this year’s Trail Days x Gila Earth Day festival weekend! We are excited to partner with Heart of the Gila for this year’s CDT Trail Days for Sunday’s CDT and area hikes. We’ll be offering guided hikes to some unique waterways and mountains just off the CDT in the Gila National Forest. Join us!

Overnight camping in Silver City

CDTC is grateful for our partnership with the historic Silver City Waterworks Building on Little Walnut Road (1800 Little Walnut Rd, Silver City, NM 8806) to allow camping during the Festival weekend. REGISTRATION IS FULL. More resources for a place to stay can be found HERE.

Heart of the Gila is a conservation and advocacy organization based in the Gila River Headwaters, surrounded by the Gila Wilderness. Our volunteers partner with the Gila National Forest and engage in river clean-ups, invasive species eradication, and trail maintenance throughout the Gila. Heart of the Gila collaborates with partners from diverse communities, organizations and agencies, providing biological research, ecological restoration, environmental education, public lands stewardship and advocacy for the wild places of the Southwest.
