The Continental Divide Trail Coalition aims to increase local access to the Continental Divide Trail (CDT) through our Gateway Community Ambassador Program. The program empowers Ambassadors to become outdoor leaders in their communities. By introducing folks living along the CDT to the trail, Ambassadors help grow the community of stewards of this incredible resource.

Passionate about the outdoors and public lands? Want to spend more time on the CDT? Consider becoming an Ambassador for your community! With support from the CDTC, Ambassadors familiarize themselves with their local segment of the CDT and share this knowledge within their community. Ambassadors host events on and near the CDT that help their community learn, explore, and connect.

Who are we looking for?

  • We’re looking for individuals or teams of two, from all backgrounds and skill levels, who are passionate about trails, public lands, and community engagement and want to spend time on the CDT.
  • Ambassadors must live in or near a CDT Gateway Community.
  • Ambassadors must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ambassadors must be willing to share their experience with their community through social media, blogs, articles, and/or photos.
