The Continental Divide Trail Invites You To Participate In This Exceptional Event:
a film by the Continental Divide Trail Coalition and UNM-Toas.
November 11 & 12
Sky City Cultural Center & Haak’u Museum, Haaku Rd. Acoma Pueblo, NM
The film is dedicated to hearing the voices of Our Pueblos, Tribes, Nations Elders, and their relationship to Mother Earth. To educate others on the values that are important to all of us in this world. How relations to each as a whole are important in building and holding strong partnerships in the protection of the Continental Divide Landscape. The film contains a strong message from the Indigenous people, “True Stewards of the Land ”, concerning their stolen lands and Western conservation efforts, and aims to help others better understand the values of Indigenous stewardship versus Western conservation views.
Traditional Dances Groups will perform between viewings of the film throughout the day. Appetizers and drinks will be served on the first day of the event (provided by the Torivio family).
